About TaxFit Chartered Professional Accountant

Practical Accounting. Clear Advice. Better Decisions.

TaxFit Chartered Professional Accountant is a North Vancouver CPA firm helping owner-managed businesses, incorporated professionals, entrepreneurs, families, and individuals understand their financial position, meet their tax and reporting obligations, and make better-informed decisions.

Taxfit Accounting and Consulting Ltd., operating as TaxFit Chartered Professional Accountant, was established in 2015 by Moe Niknami, CPA, CGA, MAcc.

Our approach is built around a straightforward belief:

Accounting should do more than report what has already happened. It should help you decide what to do next.

Why TaxFit Was Established

Before founding TaxFit, Moe developed an extensive career in accounting, taxation, budgeting, financial management, and business leadership across different industries and countries.

His experience includes both public accounting and senior financial-management roles. This gave him a clear understanding of a common challenge faced by many business owners.

Businesses may receive tax returns and year-end financial information, but they do not always receive a clear explanation of:

  • What their numbers mean
  • Where financial risks may be developing
  • How much cash they may need
  • How business and tax decisions affect one another
  • Which issues require immediate attention
  • What actions could strengthen the business

TaxFit was established to help close that gap.

We combine professional accounting knowledge with practical financial-management experience. Our objective is not simply to complete a tax return or prepare financial information. We help clients understand the complete financial picture and use that information more effectively.

Accounting That Fits the Client

No two businesses have exactly the same financial structure, reporting needs, internal resources, or long-term plans.

We begin by understanding each client’s operations, objectives, concerns, and priorities. We then tailor the scope of our work to the client’s circumstances rather than forcing every client into a standard package.

Depending on the engagement, TaxFit’s services may include:

  • Corporate and personal tax compliance and planning
  • Compilation engagements
  • Bookkeeping and cloud-accounting support
  • GST/HST and payroll-related compliance
  • Management reporting
  • Budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Cash-flow and profitability analysis
  • Accounting-process and internal-control improvement
  • Financing and lender-information preparation
  • Business structuring and reorganization support
  • Practical financial and business advisory services

All professional services are provided under a written engagement agreement that clearly identifies the agreed scope, responsibilities, timing, and fees.

Compilation Engagements

TaxFit performs compilation engagements for owner-managed businesses in accordance with applicable Canadian professional standards.

A compilation engagement assists management in preparing compiled financial information using information provided by management. It does not include the procedures performed in an audit or review engagement and does not provide assurance on the financial information.

TaxFit does not provide audit or review engagements.

We believe that being transparent about the nature and limitations of our services is an important part of maintaining client trust.

TaxFit primarily works with clients who value direct communication, responsive service, practical advice, and a long-term relationship with their accountant.

Specialized Accounting for Trading and Investment Activities

TaxFit has extensive experience supporting active traders, proprietary trading firms, investment professionals, and businesses involved in complex trading activities.

We understand that high-volume trading operations can create significant accounting, reconciliation, financial-reporting, and tax-compliance challenges.

Our experience includes assisting clients with:

  • High-volume stock and foreign-exchange transactions
  • Trade-data collection, organization, and reconciliation
  • Accounting for brokerage accounts and trading transactions
  • Accounting-system design and implementation
  • Automation of trade-data and accounting workflows
  • Classification and reconciliation of trading income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
  • Preparation of accurate compiled financial information
  • Corporate and personal tax compliance
  • Foreign-currency accounting and reporting
  • Management reporting for performance analysis and decision-making

We help clients transform large volumes of complex trading data into clear, organized, and reliable financial information.

By designing efficient accounting processes and automating repetitive data workflows, we help reduce manual processing, improve accuracy, strengthen recordkeeping, and provide clients with a clearer understanding of their trading operations and financial results.

Our objective is to help ensure that accounting records are complete, financial reporting is reliable, and tax filings are prepared using properly organized supporting information.

Whether the client is an individual active trader, an incorporated investment professional, or a proprietary trading firm, TaxFit provides practical accounting and tax support tailored to the volume, structure, and complexity of the trading activity.

TaxFit does not provide investment advice, portfolio management, securities trading, or brokerage services.

Technology-Enabled, Personally Delivered

TaxFit uses secure cloud-accounting, document-exchange, electronic-signature, and digital communication tools to make working with us more organized and efficient.

Technology allows clients to exchange documents, access information, approve documents, and communicate without unnecessary paper or travel.

However, technology does not replace professional judgment, accountability, or personal service.

Professional accounting and tax conclusions remain subject to appropriate review and professional judgment. Clients can communicate directly with the people responsible for their work and receive explanations that relate to their specific circumstances.

The TaxFit Approach

Understand First

We take the time to understand the client, the business, and the decision that needs to be made before recommending a solution.

Communicate Clearly

Accounting and tax rules can be complicated. Our responsibility is to explain the issue, available options, and potential consequences in understandable language.

Plan Before the Deadline

Deadlines matter, but effective financial management should not begin only a few days before a filing is due. We encourage clients to identify tax obligations, cash-flow requirements, reporting issues, and business risks early.

Provide Practical Advice

A technically correct recommendation must also be workable. We consider how a recommendation may affect cash flow, business operations, administration, financing, taxation, and the client’s longer-term goals.

Protect Confidentiality

Clients trust us with sensitive financial, tax, personal, and business information. We treat that responsibility seriously and maintain professional, administrative, and technological safeguards designed to protect confidential information.

Build Long-Term Relationships

The more an accountant understands a client’s history, operations, and goals, the more useful that relationship can become. We aim to be a dependable long-term resource—not simply a once-a-year service provider.
